KHEM BAHADUR BUDA, ROLPA: In a heart-rending incident, it has been revealed that a 15-year-old girl, from Rolpa has been repeatedly raped for six months by her own father Raj Bahadur Woli (35) in Rolpa. The name of the victim has been protected.
The incident came to light after the teenage girl screamed one morning as her father was about to assault her in the forest.
Woli, a returnee worker from India had repeatedly sexually assaulted her in the past, as revealed by the victim.
“A month back one early morning the neighbours tried to catch the accused red-handed as he was about to assault his daughter after tying her in the tree. But he fled later,” said one neighbour.
He was arrested few weeks back with the help of villagers after an FIR (First Investigation Report) was filed by the victim, the DSP of Rolpa, Om Bahadur Ranamagar said.
According to the victim, her father had even repeatedly subjected her to sodomy and sexually assaulted her even in the presence of her mother.
“He had directed me not to disclose the incident and even threatened to take my life if I did,” she said. The villagers have been horrified by the incident.
Further investigation into the case is underway.THT
