A minor girl from Nepal was allegedly raped by her neighbour in New Delhi’s Chirag Delhi on Wednesday morning, local media reported.
According to reports, the accused has been identified as Vijay, a resident of Rourkela in Odisha.
“The accused also allegedly attempted unnatural sex with the four-year-old girl due to which she suffered injuries in her private parts and is undergoing treatment at the AIIMS Trauma Centre,” a report said quoting local police. The man attempted to flee after the crime but was later held from a railway station in Delhi.
A police officer told local media that Vijay subjected the victim to sexual exploitation after luring her to his room on the pretext of giving her a chocolate. The victim’s parents and brother are daily-wage labourers and were away when the crime took place.
