An Indian national killed his wife and infant daughter over a family dispute at Kakadvitta, Jhapa on Wednesday.

Shova Manipure, of Manipur in India, killed his wife Rebika Bista and daughter Sunita after they refused to return with him from Rebika’s parents’ house.

 According to Assistant Police Inspector Ravi Limbu, Rebika was killed with a sharp weapon whereas Sunita was strangled to death.

Manipure also injured his 4-year old son Arun and mother-in-law Narmaya Bista.

 Both of them are critical and receiving medical attention at Mechi Zonal Hospital Bhadrapur.

Manipure had been living with his in-laws for the past three months. According to neighbors, they usually fought over going home with Manipure. Manipure is currently at large.
