Even before the tragic incident of Shiwa Hasmi has faded away from the minds of people, a girl was burnt alive, in yet another dreadful incident in Bara on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Dindu Thakur (18) daughter of Rama Thakuri of Prastoka-5.
Thakur’s body was found 50 meters away from her house at around 7 am today, according to Assistant Sub-inspector Dipika Ojha of the district police office, Bara.
According to a family source, Thakur had gone to the toilet at around 5 am and was fine but unexpectedly her body was found burnt at around 7 am.
She used to study in grade 10 at Neera Prastabit Higher Secondary School.
Assistant Sub-inspector Ojha said that they have initiated an investigation into the incident.
At a time when the country has been organizing different campaigns to stop violence against woman, the incidents of assaults and violence against women have been mounting up.
Just some weeks back, Shiwa Hasmi was burnt alive in Nepalgunj.
Her body and face were burnt beyond recognition.
