Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) General Secretary
Aang Kaji Sherpa had caustic remarks against UCPN (Maoist) Chairman
Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday.
Addressing a General Assembly at Khula Manch on Friday, Sherpa said
that Maoist Chairman Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala and
CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal went to every five-star hotel in the
Capital, but failed to forge agreement on the political deadlocks.
Hinting towards Dahal and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who was
also present on the dais, Sherpa demanded an explanation for the failure
to draft the constitution. He also condemned NC and UML for working
against federalism. Sherpa is also the UML General Secretary for
Solukhumbu district.
Claiming that Maoist party can institutionalise a federal constitution, Sherpa urged the party leaders to work in unison.
Meanwhile, Maoist Politburo member Hisila Yami and leader Shashi
Shrestha also addressed the session. Both the leaders said that NC and
UML were the culprits for the failure of constitution and dissolution of
Constituent Assembly.
