A girl returning to her home after celebrating Bhai Tika was rape d by police personnel in Dailekh district on Friday night.
Police constable Singha Bahadur Rawat had rape d a 14-year-old girl at a hotel in Bestada market area in the district. The girl was returning to her home in Majkot VDC of Jajaorkot district while she was rape d. Constable Rawat also assaulted the girl’s father and another local who tried to save the girl.
The girl is receiving treatment at Dailekh District Hospital, police said. Rawat, meanwhile, has been taken under police custody for further investigation.
