The government on Monday decided to postpone the ordinance for budget .
Talking to eKantipur, prime minister’s political advisor Devendra Poudel said that the government was set to send the ordinance for budget to President Ram Baran Yadav. However, it was called off until November 16.
Poudel also notified that the government would initiate talks with other parties to forge consensus on budget during the period.
Nevertheless, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun did brief President Ram Baran Yadav about the budget . In reply, Yadav agreed on the postponing the ordinance until after the Tihar holidays.
Meanwhile, the cabinet meeting that was called for today has also been postponed for November 16.
